READ THE STORY

“Over the years, we’ve developed a strong relationship with many like-minded folks in Maine who share our values, and, personally, this one means a lot to me,” said Wyoming Whiskey co-founder David DeFazio. “I’ve visited Acadia many times, with my family as a kid and most recently just last year. It

feels right to honor the park, and the people who protect it, with this special bourbon.”

The bourbon carries a suggested retail price of $79.99 and is available exclusively at Maine brick-and-mortar retailers.

Acadia National Park holds historical significance as the first national park created from lands donated by conservation-minded citizens. The partnership aligns with Wyoming Whiskey’s founding commitment to land preservation alongside whiskey production.

The distillery’s production methods contribute to the bourbon’s distinctive character. Non-GMO grains sourced from Byron, Wyoming, combine with water drawn from a limestone aquifer 50 miles from the distillery. Each batch ages for a minimum of five years in newly charred American oak barrels.

Wyoming’s temperature fluctuations naturally accelerate the maturation process, creating what the distillery describes as a bold and complex spirit. The 98-proof bourbon bottled at 49% ABV showcases these climate-driven characteristics.

Official tasting notes for the Acadia Edition describe a nose of baked honey crullers with cinnamon sugar, white icing, and hints of baked orange and almond. The palate features almond and cherry liqueur with honeyed sweetness and vanilla whip. The finish delivers warming cinnamon spice, rich espresso, creamy milk chocolate, and subtle leather notes.

The release continues Wyoming Whiskey’s annual National Parks Series tradition, with the next edition expected this fall. Since its establishment as Wyoming’s first legal distillery, the company has maintained partnerships with conservation organizations while developing its whiskey portfolio.

The Maine-exclusive distribution reflects the distillery’s targeted approach to regional releases. Friends of Acadia will use the donation to support natural resource preservation and enhance visitor experiences at the park.
