As flavored whiskey continues to find a loyal audience, Skrewball has surged in popularity. The peanut butter-flavored whiskey can be used in a variety of cocktails or even enjoyed on its own. With the holiday season quickly approaching, the brand has brought back its Skrewball Eggnog.

Eggnog and whiskey are a classic holiday season pairing. That seasonal, creamy, decadent drink is a favorite. While people can debate their favorite spirit to spike the nog, the reality is that adults appreciate a little extra nip. Just a touch of whiskey can bring pleasant warmth that brings extra holiday cheer.

Skrewball Eggnog is the simple solution for the holiday season. The ready-to-pour beverage is 29.5 proof (14.75% ABV).

The specialty drink starts with 100% real, premium dairy cream. The eggnog flavor is combined with warm cinnamon and classic vanilla. It is sweet but not cloying.

The peanut butter whiskey adds just the right amount of nuttiness. In a way, the slightly salty note highlights the vanilla. For anyone who prefers to sip their dessert, this offering is a superb choice.

Skrewball recommends serving this eggnog chilled and over ice. Personally, a cinnamon stick, some star anise or a sprinkling of nutmeg to finish the drink makes it taste even better.

Eggnog Cocktails for the Holidays

Although many people would love eggnog all year round, the seasonal beverage has become a holiday tradition. Some people might sip hot chocolate on a snowy day, but the creamy, rich eggnog is easily transformed for cocktail hour or dessert. It is a way to enjoy a spirit-forward drink, yet it feels more approachable.

Chefs and mixologists are drawn to the concept. As Heidi Finley, Assistant Food & Beverage Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota (Sarasota, FL) shared, “I love pairing rich, indulgent foods with bright, spirit-forward cocktails. For example, a rosemary-infused gin martini pairs beautifully with baked brie or smoked salmon canapés. For heartier mains like prime rib or roasted lamb, I lean toward a deep, spiced bourbon cocktail with clove or cinnamon. Nothing beats eggnog with gingerbread – it’s a holiday classic for a reason.”

Pairing eggnog with warm spices, like a gingerbread cookie, is a smart choice. Those flavors help to balance the richness of the creamy beverage.

While the Skrewball Eggnog is the simple, ready-to-pour option Mash & Mallow has an eggnog cocktail that will quickly become a holiday tradition. This particular recipe is a little complicated, but the flavor is worth it.
