Sugarlands Distilling Company has unveiled Broken Antler, a new flavored whiskey line featuring Blackberry, Cold Brew Coffee, and Hot Honey expressions. The products will launch October 24 at the company’s Gatlinburg, Tennessee distillery before expanding nationwide.

Each variant is priced at US$19.99. The Cold Brew Coffee and Hot Honey expressions are bottled at 35% ABV, while Blackberry is 40% ABV.

“Broken Antler represents the next chapter for Sugarlands as we enter the flavored whiskey market in a way that’s authentic to who we are,” said Ned Vickers, Sugarlands president and founder. “We’ve spent the past decade-plus building a reputation for crafting award-winning spirits across multiple categories, and Broken Antler allows us to bring that same spirit and innovation to an entirely new offering.”

The Tennessee-based distiller has built its reputation since 2014 through multiple spirit categories. Its portfolio includes signature moonshines, Sippin’ Creams and Roaming Man Whiskey.

Roaming Man, a limited-release straight rye, has secured significant industry recognition. The whiskey won Best Whiskey at the American Craft Spirits Association Awards and multiple Double Gold medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

In 2022, Sugarlands expanded into vodka through a partnership with Dale Jr. and Amy Earnhardt to create High Rock Vodka.

“With Broken Antler, we wanted to build something completely new that reflects the same dedication to quality and craftsmanship that Roaming Man and all our spirits are known for,” said Sugarlands Master Distiller Greg Eidam.

Eidam emphasized the line is “not about recreating Roaming Man in a flavored format but about expanding our whiskey tradition in a way that is accessible, distinctive, and built for drinkers who appreciate both flavor and quality.”

The flavored whiskey market continues to attract established producers seeking growth opportunities. Major players have increasingly invested in innovation within the category to capture younger consumers and casual whiskey drinkers.

Sugarlands operates what it describes as one of the nation’s top craft spirits distillery tasting rooms in Gatlinburg. The facility serves as both a production site and visitor destination in the tourist-heavy Smoky Mountains region.

Initial availability will be limited to the Gatlinburg distillery before wider distribution begins.
