“The vision at Unreined Whiskey is to bring the same world-class bourbon experience you’d find on the bourbon trail to Texas. Long term, we plan to build a brand that not only resonates with consumers but inspires a lifestyle,” said Nelson Ingram, Chief Marketing Officer & Blender.
The brand distinguishes itself by aging and blending whiskey in Texas, where the warmer, humid climate naturally intensifies barrel flavors like oak, vanilla, and coconut.
“The Unreined Whiskey team’s approach to whiskey is one that blends innovation, quality, and decades of experience to create a whiskey Texans are proud to share,” said Rob Arnold, PhD, Co-Founder and board member of Unreined Whiskey.
A visitor center is scheduled to open in College Station this spring, featuring space for tastings, tours, barrel selections, and celebrations.
Guests will be able to observe production processes and tour the Buzick-built 6,200-barrel warehouse.
The Texas whiskey market has seen significant growth in recent years, with distilleries across the state capitalizing on the region’s unique climate conditions for accelerated aging.
Major college athletics partnerships have also become increasingly common for spirits brands seeking to reach loyal alumni networks and regional consumers.
Kyle Field, home to Texas A&M football, has a capacity of over 102,000 and reportedly hosted over 743,000 fans across seven home football games this year.
The partnership positions Unreined Whiskey alongside other premium spirits brands that have secured collegiate athletics sponsorships across the country.
