The Macallan has unveiled its first UK domestic boutique at Harrods in London, located in the former Baccarat Bar next to the store’s Fine Wines & Spirits Department. The boutique opened on 18 June 2026 and offers one of the most extensive ranges of the single malt Scotch whisky available outside The Macallan Estate in Speyside.

The space stocks rare releases and limited edition expressions.

To mark the opening, Spanish painter and illustrator Javi Aznárez created packaging for The Macallan Rare Cask 2026. The collectible edition is limited to 100 bottles and sold only at Harrods. It will be released on opening day on a first come, first served basis.

A personalization and gifting station allows guests to have bottles engraved with a name, date or inscription. The boutique also features a sampling bar and can transform into a fine dining space for private experiences.

The boutique displays artwork by designer David Carson and pop artist Sir Peter Blake. Carson recently created a visual identity for The Macallan’s Timeless collection, while Blake’s piece gathers figures from his previous works on the lawn of Easter Elchies House.

Architect Jamie Fobert designed the boutique, bringing the brand’s “Nurtured by Nature” retail concept to life. Fobert’s previous work includes Venice’s Fondaco dei Tedeschi and the National Portrait Gallery extension in London.

Design touches reflect The Macallan’s Six Pillars, including copper walls, oak flooring, albariza stone and waved walls symbolizing the River Spey.

The opening follows the launch of a Macallan boutique at Heathrow Terminal 5 in 2025.

“Opening our new boutique at Harrods marks a major milestone for The Macallan, expanding our presence in London and building on our ambitions of delivering standout retail experiences for consumers across the globe,” said Jaume Ferras, creative director at The Macallan.

“In partnership with Harrods, we have been able to push boundaries and curate an incomparable retail experience, bringing craftmanship and creativity to the fore.”

Andre Lewis, head of buying for food, wine and spirit at Harrods, said: “We are thrilled to deepen our long standing relationship with The Macallan through the opening of this exceptional new boutique.” He added: “Our customers come to us in search of the world’s finest craftsmanship and most compelling luxury experiences, and The Macallan consistently delivers both.”

The boutique builds on previous activations at the Knightsbridge store, including an experience marking the 60th anniversary of the James Bond film franchise.
