Elijah Craig has announced the return of a 21-Year-Old Single Barrel Bourbon, marking the oldest age statement currently available from the Kentucky-based brand. The limited release will debut exclusively at the Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience in Bardstown, Kentucky, on June 14, 2026, in celebration of National Bourbon Day.

"Our fans have been waiting for a new 20-year-plus-aged release, and this won’t disappoint," O’Driscoll added. "Expect the signature warm spice that Elijah Craig is known for, with new layers that reveal the transformative power of extended maturation."
Official tasting notes from the brand describe toasted oak, leather, and complex spices on the nose. The palate reveals milk chocolate, toasted nuts, and burnt caramel, while the finish delivers aged oak, molasses, barrel char, and peppery spices.
The bottle comes packaged in a custom wooden display case inspired by the barrel-charring technique attributed to the brand’s namesake, the Reverend Elijah Craig.

Fans may begin lining up at the Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience the night before the launch event. Wristband distribution is planned ahead of doors opening at 11 a.m., with bottle sales beginning at noon. O’Driscoll and artisanal distiller Jodie Filiatreau will be on-site for bottle signings, alongside a complimentary tasting journey and barrel-charring demonstration with live music running until 4 p.m.
Beyond the initial launch, the brand has reserved 1,789 bottles for sale in select markets later this year ahead of the holiday season. The number honors the year Elijah Craig is credited with establishing his distillery in Georgetown, Kentucky.
Elijah Craig is produced by Heaven Hill Distillery and has earned numerous accolades, including Whisky Advocate’s Whiskey of the Year for its inaugural Barrel Proof Rye release in 2025.
