Coppercraft 9-Year Bourbon Whiskey Launch $37.99
Coppercraft Distillery have launched a new 9-year old bourbon in the US.

Michigan’s Coppercraft Distillery has unveiled its latest expression, a 9-Year-Old Straight Bourbon Whiskey, marking a significant addition to the brand’s portfolio. The new release arrives as the distillery prepares to reopen its Holland, Michigan facility in August 2025.

New Bourbon Whiskey Blends Indiana Distillates

The expression combines barrels of nine-year-old and older sourced Indiana bourbons, utilizing MGP’s 21% and 36% rye mashbills. Head Distiller Will Fabry crafted a 15-barrel blend for this release, though the exact ratio remains proprietary. The distillery employed barrels from ISC, Kelvin, and Speyside cooperages, specifically using 3 char and heavy toast barrels.

Coppercraft’s production process spans three months from barrel to bottle. The distillery begins proofing in the barrel, gradually reducing the alcohol content over several weeks before transferring to tanks for final blending. The addition of petites eaux helps extract wood sugars and extends the whiskey’s mouthfeel.

Tasting Profile and Availability for Whiskey Enthusiasts

According to official tasting notes, the bourbon presents flavors of caramel, vanilla, and oak. Bottled at 90.6 proof, the expression demonstrates Coppercraft’s brandy blending techniques applied to bourbon production.

The Coppercraft 9-Year-Old Straight Bourbon Whiskey is now available at select retailers nationwide for $37.99 per 750ml bottle. Founded in 2012, Coppercraft Distillery draws inspiration from West Michigan’s manufacturing heritage, where craftspeople historically exported quality goods across the United States.

The release comes amid growing consumer interest in aged American whiskeys. The bourbon category has experienced steady growth, with premium aged expressions commanding increased attention from collectors and enthusiasts. Coppercraft’s latest offering enters a competitive market where nine-year age statements represent a sweet spot between accessibility and maturity.
