Fred Noe has unveiled Booker’s Bourbon Batch 2025-04, named Phantom Pipes Batch, as the final release for 2025. The expression is bottled at 126.4 proof and aged for seven years, six months, and 15 days, with a suggested retail price of US$99.99.

The name pays homage to a network of pipes discovered in the rafters of the Boston distillery that led nowhere.

These pipes were remnants of late master distiller Booker Noe’s experimental work.

“Dad was always connecting one thing to another, chasing the next great idea with whatever he had on hand,” said Fred Noe, current master distiller and son of Booker Noe.

The bourbon is bottled uncut and unfiltered, following the brand’s traditional production methods.

Official tasting notes from the brand describe rich vanilla on the nose, a full-bodied spice on the palate, and a long, lingering finish.

The batch comprises barrels from five different production dates across multiple warehouses.

22% of the blend came from the fourth floor of the seven-story warehouse 3.

11% originated from the fifth floor of the seven-story warehouse 1.

The largest component, 30%, was sourced from the sixth floor of the seven-story warehouse G.

9% came from the third floor of the seven-story warehouse O.

The remaining 28% was drawn from the fifth floor of the seven-story warehouse 4.

Booker’s Bourbon typically releases four to five batches annually, each with unique characteristics determined by barrel selection and aging conditions.

Each batch maintains the brand’s signature high proof and unfiltered approach established by Booker Noe during his tenure at Jim Beam Distillery.

The Phantom Pipes Batch represents the culmination of Booker’s 2025 releases, maintaining the brand’s commitment to transparency in sharing detailed warehouse locations and barrel compositions.
