About:

Irish whiskey bonder Two Stacks has released its Double Irish Cream Liqueur across the United States through importer Foley Family Wines & Spirits. The new expression contains eight times more whiskey than the category’s leading brands and is now available nationwide ahead of the holiday season.

The liqueur is based on the brand’s Two Stacks The First Cut Signature Blend Irish Whiskey. This whiskey features a mash bill of 40% grain aged in bourbon casks, 40% grain aged in virgin American oak, 8% pot still, 10% double malt, and 2% peated malt.

To create the product, Two Stacks partnered with Robert A. Merry & Co. in Tipperary and its master blender, Don Crowley. The recipe uses Irish double cream with a high butterfat content of 48% to create a rich, silky texture.

“We are unapologetically focused on the whiskey taking the spotlight in our Irish Cream Liqueur,” said Two Stacks co-founder Shane McCarthy. “Innovative, unique Irish whiskeys are our calling card, so that hasn’t changed with our first liqueur. Even the double cream was intentionally selected to enhance the bold whiskey flavor.” The 17.5% ABV liqueur has already won several accolades, including Ireland Cream Liqueur of the Year at the 2025 New York International Spirits Competition and a Platinum medal at the 2025 Ascot Awards.
Appearance:
Chocolate milk – creamy with just a touch of caramel.
Nose:
Straight cream and chocolate, there is a touch of malted grains.
Palate:
A delicate velvety dessert in a glass. Like eating chocolate mousse with an incredible boozy caramel reduction. Chocolate, cream, vanilla wafer, caramel sugars. and just the softest hint of Irish whiskey.
Finish:
Creamy mouthfeel and lasting vanilla whipped cream. Touch of malt richness and light coffee.
Comments:
This is tremendous, it’s velvety, creamy, rich and just lovely! This is really good and I very much enjoy it.

The price is high for a Irish Cream but I think it is absolutely worth it. You’ll want this in virtually everything that it can go in. Be forewarned, it has real milk so the shelf-life is poor once it’s opened. I really doubt you’ll need to store it for very long though once you taste it.
