About:

Putting the biggest name in Canadian whisky into the world of single malt, here we have Crown Royal Single Malt Whisky.

Distilled from 100% malted barley and aged slowly in the chill of the Canadian climate, this is a showcase of what Crown Royal can do when competing with the rest of the world.
Appearance:
Light Gold
Nose:
Lots of fresh fruits! Very reminiscent of classic Speyside whiskies and lots of fragrant Irish whiskies. There’s green apple, pineapple, mango and some fresh cherries.

Classic vanilla and caramel, too. Just a very classic single malt nose but without leaning too heavy into the grist side of things.
Palate:
A little touch of spice followed up with more big fruitiness. More apple, toffee, fudge and a little touch of lemon and lime. Some classic summer time malt notes, think about this as a lowland whisky – you get straw, soft fruits, vanilla and some very nice pepper notes at the very end.
Finish:
This is very nice. It really reminds me of things like Glenkinchie and a much lighter style of Daftmill. Loads of fruits and creamy notes, all backed up with some welcome spiciness and presence.
Comments:
A great single malt. I’d happily have a bottle of this on my shelf throughout the year. Fair play to Crown Royal for doing something fun, different and allows more people to get into Canadian whisky.
