The Glasgow Distillery has expanded its annual Glasgow 1770 Single Malt Scotch Whisky series with three limited releases for 2026. The line-up features Batch 2 editions of its Bourbon Cask Matured and Ruby Port Cask Finished expressions, plus an all-new Sherry Cask Matured single malt.
Each bottling carries an age statement and is released at natural color, non-chill filtered and at batch strength, and the collection sits between the distillery’s core Signature Range and its experimental Small Batch Series.
Glasgow 1770 Bourbon Cask Matured Batch 2 returns as an eight-year-old single malt. It marries equal proportions of the distillery’s peated and unpeated double distilled single malt, matured exclusively in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels.

READ THE STORYThe Ruby Port Cask Finish also returns for a second year, following a sell-out debut in 2025. Now aged seven years, the whisky spent almost four years finishing in Ruby Port hogsheads after initial maturation in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels.
Completing the trio is Glasgow 1770 Sherry Cask Matured Batch 1. The new release was created in collaboration with Spanish sherry producer Ximénez-Spínola.
The expression combines unpeated single malt finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks with peated single malt matured in Medium Sherry casks.
Mike Hayward, founder of The Glasgow Distillery, said: “Our annual releases are all about celebrating combinations of whisky style and cask that we believe work exceptionally well together. These are whiskies that have earned a permanent place in our portfolio.”
Hayward added: “Bourbon Cask Matured highlights the quality of our spirit with minimal cask influence, Ruby Port demonstrates how extended finishing can build incredible fruit character, while our new Sherry Cask Matured release explores the balance between two of our whisky styles and two exceptional styles of luxurious sherry.”
The Bourbon Cask Matured Batch 2 is bottled at 54% ABV, with 1,600 bottles priced at £59. The Ruby Port Cask Finish Batch 2 is also 54% ABV, limited to 1,200 bottles at £59. The Sherry Cask Matured Batch 1 is a six-year-old at 55% ABV, with 1,600 bottles at £59.
All three go on sale from Wednesday 12 August via The Glasgow Distillery website and specialist UK retailers.
Stock will also reach select international markets, including Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Canada, France, Finland and Switzerland.
The Glasgow Distillery was founded in 2012, reviving single malt production in the city after a hiatus of more than a century.
