Spiritory Opens First Physical Whisky Store in Munich

Spiritory, the European online marketplace for rare whiskies and premium spirits, will open its first physical retail store in Munich on 24 July 2026. The shop is located at Plinganserstrasse 6 in the Stemmerhof complex, in the city’s Sendling district.

The move marks the company’s first step into brick-and-mortar retail. Spiritory has operated as a digital platform since 2022, connecting buyers and sellers of collectible spirits across Europe.

The store is built like a gallery inside a protected historic barn. Its opening selection spans more than 100 bottles.

Those bottles include rare single malts, limited releases, and premium spirits from distilleries in Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Japan, and the Americas.

Personal consultation from the Spiritory team is a core part of the concept.

“Our wish is to offer everyone who walks through the door a special experience, whether you are just starting out with whisky and spirits or are an experienced connoisseur,” said Janis Wilczura, CEO of Spiritory. “We have something for everyone.”

Wilczura described the store’s design as a mix of old and new elements.

“In the shop, old meets new, a monastery table meets an asymmetric shelf, exposed brick wall meets a neon sign,” he said. “We see our concept as a bridge between generations, which we want to bring together.”

According to the company, storytelling and brand connection are central to the store’s layout. Each bottle is given its own place and context rather than being lined up on a shelf.

Spiritory’s marketplace allows enthusiasts, collectors, and sellers to trade rare spirits at transparent market prices. The platform focuses particularly on whisky.

The grand opening takes place on Friday, 24 July 2026, at 17:00. Regular opening hours will run Tuesday to Saturday, from 11:00 to 19:00.
