Wild Turkey’s premium bourbon line announced Tuesday the return of its highly sought-after 13-year-old expression. The 13 Year Old bourbon is a beloved fan favorite, and returns to the Russell’s Reserve lineup with a new ABV.
Consumers interested in purchasing must sign up for the Russell’s Reserve newsletter at RussellsReserve.com for availability updates. The brand emphasized that limited quantities will be available while supplies last.
Russell’s Reserve 13 Year Old Bourbon Evolves With Variable Proof Points
The 2025 release debuts at 123.8 proof, up from the historical 114.8 proof that defined previous bottlings since the expression’s 2021 introduction. Master Distiller Eddie Russell and his team selected barrels from the distillery’s rickhouses for this limited spring production, with each future batch to feature its own distinct proof and seasonal designation on the label.
“This release of Russell’s Reserve 13 Year Old is special to me not only because it celebrates our legacy, but because it represents a new chapter in the evolution of this bourbon,” said Eddie Russell, Master Distiller at Wild Turkey Distilling Co. The non-chill filtered bourbon maintains the brand’s commitment to releasing whiskeys based on quality rather than predetermined schedules.
Premium Bourbon Commands $200 Price Point
The allocated bourbon will retail for $200 per 750ml bottle when it becomes available this summer through the distillery visitor center, select retailers, and online channels. The release follows Russell’s Reserve 15 Year Old, which spirits critic Fred Minnick named Top American Whiskey of the Year in 2024.
Official tasting notes describe an aroma of vanilla, caramel, and brown sugar, followed by cherry and spice notes of clove and nutmeg. The palate features sweet cola and molasses flavors transitioning to fruit cobbler and butter cream, while the finish delivers mature oak, char, and black pepper.
