Royal Salute has launched the Royal Salute 21 Year Old Harris Reed Edition II, marking the second collaboration between the Scotch whisky brand and fashion designer Harris Reed. The limited-edition expression features two bottle designs inspired by royal clothing and crowns reimagined through intricate lace patterns.

The new release forms part of Royal Salute’s Fashion Collection and will be available exclusively in Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Poland from December 2025.

Master Blender Sandy Hyslop worked alongside Harris Reed to create the blend, which features a high proportion of Longmorn and first-fill Sherry butt-matured whiskies. Malt from Braeval and grain whiskies from Strathclyde add a gentle, floral nature to the whisky.

The resulting whisky, according to a brand press release, “balances feminine elegance with masculine depth,” holding a mirror to Harris Reed’s “multifaceted personality”. Reed is known in the world of fashion for his playful, gender fluid designs, describing his style as “Romanticism gone nonbinary”.

“Collaborating with Royal Salute for a second year has been an incredible journey of creative evolution,” said Harris Reed, Royal Salute’s Global Fashion Collaborator.

“This year, Sandy and I delved even deeper into exploring the intersection of high fashion and luxury whisky, pushing boundaries to create something truly unique and collectible.”

Reed continued: “This edition is a bolder, more intricate statement, and I believe it beautifully captures the spirit of innovation that defines both Royal Salute and my own work.”

The bottle designs draw from royal clothing heritage while incorporating Reed’s contemporary aesthetic.

“Crafting the Royal Salute 21 Year Old Harris Reed Edition II has been a real privilege, building upon the remarkable foundation of our first release,” said Sandy Hyslop, Royal Salute’s Master Blender.

“We’ve meticulously balanced the blend to reflect Harris’ distinctive style, introducing creamy and spicy notes that perfectly complement the vibrant fruit characteristics.”

Hyslop added: “This whisky is a testament to the harmony that can be achieved when the worlds of exceptional Scotch and visionary design truly converge.”

The expression will retail at US$325 (€290) across select luxury retailers.

Official tasting notes describe clementine, ripe pears, spongecake, and hazelnut on the nose, followed by a palate of fresh raspberries, vanilla, orange chocolate, ginger, and cherry compote.

Royal Salute, owned by Pernod Ricard, specializes in aged Scotch whiskies with expressions starting at 21 years old.
