Pinhook Bourbon has unveiled Vertical Series Rye 10 Year, the latest addition to its acclaimed age-statement rye whiskey collection. The limited-edition release follows the brand’s 9 Year Rye, which earned Rye of the Year at the Ascots and Best American Rye at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in 2025.
The 10 Year expression is blended from 25 barrels and bottled unfiltered at 106 proof (53% ABV).

Official tasting notes from the brand describe aromas of dried fig, white chocolate, molasses cookie, and black pepper. The palate features dates, roasted almond frangipane, burnt honey, and juniper.
“Reaching a 10-year age statement is a defining moment for the Vertical Series, and you can taste that evolution in the glass,” said Sean Josephs, co-founder and master distiller of Pinhook Bourbon.
“This rye has matured with incredible balance and character, revealing layers of complexity that only time can create. It’s a vintage that reflects the intent of the series—and one that rye lovers and collectors alike will be genuinely excited to experience.”
The Vertical Series tracks a single group of barrels as they mature, with releases beginning at four years old. Initially planned as a 12-year project, the series has been extended to 16 years based on the liquid’s continued evolution.
All barrels contain a mashbill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley sourced from MGP Ingredients. The whiskey has aged at Castle & Key Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, since the barrels were just over one year old.
Pinhook has maintained a distilling partnership with Castle & Key since 2017. The historic facility, formerly known as Old Taylor Distillery, serves as both the aging location and blending site for the Vertical Series.
The 2026 Vertical Series Rye 10 Year is priced at US$99.99. Distribution includes Pinhook’s text-to-buy platform Breeze (833-332-2118), the brand’s website, and select retailers across the United States.
The release represents a significant milestone in American rye whiskey’s premium segment, where aged expressions continue to gain collector interest.
