International Beverage has unveiled two rare limited-edition single malt Scotch whiskies — Old Pulteney 50 Years Old and Old Pulteney 30 Years Old — to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Pulteney Distillery in Wick, Scotland. Both expressions will be available from select specialist partners across key global markets including the UK, Global Travel Retail, China, Japan, France, and the US from June 2026.
The Old Pulteney 50 Years Old is the oldest release in the brand’s history. Just 200 bottles will be made available globally. Official tasting notes include maritime sea air, green apples, plum jam, pepper, toffee apple, clove, and tobacco. It will retail for £20,000.
The expression was matured across four carefully selected casks over five decades. It was predominantly aged in American oak, with a subtle seasoning of European oak adding richness and depth.

READ THE STORYEach bottle is a hand-blown crystal decanter crafted by Glencairn Crystal. The decanters feature sand-etched wave patterns around the base and sit within a sculptural curved gold base. The outer casing is made from premium oak, with a design inspired by coastal driftwood.
The Old Pulteney 30 Years Old is limited to 1,000 bottles worldwide. It was matured in American oak casks and refined in European oak casks and has notes of citrus, pear, toffee, warm sprices, and a maritime breeze. It is priced at £1,750.
Distillery Manager Malcolm Waring personally hand-filled the casks in which this whisky spent three decades developing. The 30 Years Old is also presented in a handcrafted Glencairn Crystal decanter, gilded with rose gold detail and retaining Old Pulteney’s distinctive bottle neck shape, inspired by the distillery’s unusual still design.
London-based agency Lewis Moberly designed both presentations. International Beverage partnered with Glencairn Crystal for the decanters and Morans Wood Components for the handcrafted outer casings.
Fiona Kennie, Global Marketing Director at International Beverage, said: “It’s an honor for us to be custodians of Old Pulteney at this very special moment in its history, and to be sharing these two excellent whiskies with the world today. Few spirits embody their heritage and provenance as much as Old Pulteney, and with these new releases, these qualities come together beautifully in two exceptional single malts.”
Kennie added: “This is a proud moment for everyone at Old Pulteney as we celebrate a much-loved whisky that has held its unique coastal character for two centuries, while unveiling a new era for the brand as we look ahead to the next 200 years.”
Sarah Burgess, Master of Whisky Creation at International Beverage, said: “For this special year we wanted to create something extraordinary, not only to mark the milestone but as a true celebration of the distillery and the maritime thread that weaves through all Old Pulteney whiskies.”
Burgess continued: “I often think casks of whisky are like people, each behaving in an individual way and changing over time. For these two new expressions, my job was to select casks that honor the different moments in the distillery’s 200-year history, whilst bringing them together in whiskies that reflect everything Old Pulteney represents.”
International Beverage also confirmed the launch of an evolved marketing campaign titled “Character Runs Deep.” The campaign, set to roll out from June 2026, signals a new chapter for the brand while staying rooted in the maritime heritage and industrial craftsmanship that have defined Old Pulteney since 1826.
Pulteney Distillery was founded in 1826 in the far north of Scotland. The distillery has long been associated with the fishing port of Wick and the rugged Caithness coastline. International Beverage, a subsidiary of Thailand-based ThaiBev, oversees a portfolio of Scotch whisky brands including Old Pulteney, Balblair, and anCnoc.
Interest for both the Old Pulteney 50 Years Old (70cl) and 30 Years Old (70cl) can be registered on the brand’s website.
