Heaven Hill’s Master Distiller Conor O’Driscoll has hand-selected barrels from deep within the distillery’s rickhouses for the fourth release in Old Fitzgerald’s prestigious VVS (Very Very Special) Bottled-in-Bond Decanter Series. The new 11-year-old bourbon arrives just months after its predecessor claimed “Best Bourbon in the World” at the World Whiskies Awards.

The Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond 11-Year-Old VVS 2025 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey maintains the brand’s signature wheated mashbill of 68% corn, 20% wheat, and 12% malted barley. Bottled at 100 proof, the whiskey presents deep amber coloring in the bottle. Official tasting notes describe a nose of toasted bread and stewed apples, with a soft palate featuring rich honey sweetness and hints of baking spices.
Master Distiller Conor O’Driscoll emphasized the precise timing of this release. “We always let our whiskey tell us when it’s ready, and our latest VVS release offered just the right amount of complexity and depth of flavor when we tasted it at 11 years old,” O’Driscoll stated. The limited-edition bourbon carries a maroon label to distinguish it from the brand’s standard offerings.

The VVS 2025 release retails at $169.99 per 750ml bottle and is available exclusively at the Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience in Bardstown, Kentucky, and select Kentucky retailers. This marks the fourth VVS release in Old Fitzgerald’s history, following the award-winning VVS 2024 edition.
The timing coincides with Old Fitzgerald’s first nationwide release of its signature Bottled-in-Bond 7-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, which recently earned a Gold medal at the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. While the 7-year-old expression offers wider accessibility, the VVS releases remain highly allocated.
All Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond expressions adhere to the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, requiring the whiskey to be the product of one distillation season, one distiller, and one distillery, aged at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse, and bottled at exactly 100 proof.
