Jackton Distillery to preview RAER Single Malt at Burns Night VIP event ahead of Q3 2026 launch.
Jackton Distillery will host a VIP preview of its first RAER Single Malt during a Burns Night event running from 23-25 January 2026, ahead of a general release planned for Q3 2026. The independent, family-owned Lowland producer said guests will taste the “mature spirit” and take part in selecting casks for the inaugural bottling.
Managing director Jaynie Kean called the moment “the realisation of a dream that started almost 10 years ago.”

READ THE STORY“When we laid down that first cask in 2020, we promised ourselves we’d pour our heart and soul into every drop,” Kean said. “Now to draw from our casks and share our Single Malt for the first time, with the people who’ve believed in us from the early days, is incredibly moving.”
Jackton Distillery is based in Jackton, South Lanarkshire, in the Scottish Lowlands, and was established in 2020 by the Kean family on their former farm. The business is already known for RAER blended Scotch, and also makes gin and vodka under the Jackton Spirits portfolio.
The company said the single malt was conceived to “build on the promise” of RAER blended Scotch, which it described as “an easy-drinking expression designed to bring generations together.” The family added that RAER stands for “connection, inclusivity, and celebrating Scotland’s national drink in good company.”
During the Burns Night preview, visitors will “meet the family, help select the standout casks which will make up the first release, and raise a glass of the first single malt in the very place it matured,” the distillery said.
Jacob Kean, director and head of farm operations, highlighted the site’s circular approach. “From the barley harvest to the drams we pour, nothing is wasted and everything comes full circle,” he said, adding: “The draff feeds our own cattle, our water is reused, and even the heat from distillation warms our facilities.”
For the wider release, the distillery said “each bottle from Batch No.1 will be hand numbered” and it is “on track for an autumn launch,” with exact dates to follow.
“We’re taking our time, because that’s what our whisky deserves,” Jaynie Kean said. “Every extra month in the cask deepens its character.”
Claragh Kean, company director, added: “It’s a massive risk to operate independently… we wanted our own single malt. We wanted to show the world what we could do and create something truly RAER.”
