IndoBevs Names Varun Singla as Chief Commercial Officer

Indian alcobev company IndoBevs has named Varun Singla as its chief commercial officer to lead the company’s commercial strategy across its portfolio. The appointment, announced on 7 July 2026, comes as the producer of brands including BroCode and Bonga Bonga scales across India and international markets.

Singla brings more than two decades of commercial leadership to the role, including 16 years in the Indian spirits industry.

In his previous roles, he led commercial operations across some of India’s largest and most complex alcobev markets.

At IndoBevs, Singla will oversee the company’s commercial strategy across a portfolio of more than 15 brands. He will drive revenue growth and sales performance across both domestic and international operations.

His remit also covers route-to-market and distribution strategy, expansion into new markets, and the strengthening of trade relationships and distributor networks.

Singla will lead portfolio expansion spanning the full range of IndoBevs products. These include whiskies such as WingMan and Glen Eden, premium spirits, mainstream Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL), and category-creating brands such as BroCode and Bonga Bonga.

“IndoBevs has always believed in building brands that challenge conventions and create their own space in the market,” said Sam Mahandru, founder of IndoBevs. “As we scale our portfolio and expand across markets, a strong commercial foundation becomes critical.”

Mahandru added: “We are delighted to welcome him to the leadership team as we build IndoBevs into a global spirits player with a full portfolio of distinctive brands.”

Singla said the “ambition of what is being built here” attracted him to the company. “IndoBevs has created category-first brands that genuinely connect with modern consumers—the very audience now premiumising India’s spirits market and actively exploring new experiences,” he noted.

The appointment follows a period of commercial growth for the company. IndoBevs reports an annual turnover of approximately INR6 billion (£53 million) and sells more than two million cases each year.

Founded in 2007, the company employs more than 700 people and has an international presence across the US, UK, UAE, Australia, Canada, Africa and other markets.

Its manufacturing network spans Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka, with a greenfield malt distillery under construction in Uttar Pradesh—a move the company describes as “a significant bet on India’s premium whisky opportunity.”
