Highland single malt Scotch brand Glengoyne has reintroduced its 18-year-old expression to the U.S. market in refreshed, sustainable packaging. The distillery has also simultaneously unveiled an elegant packaging refresh for its core 21-Year-Old Sherry Oak expression.
The returning Glengoyne 18-Year-Old is an unpeated single malt bottled at 43% ABV and carries a suggested retail price of $149.99.
It is matured primarily in Oloroso Sherry casks, which are complemented by hand-selected refill casks to create a full-bodied profile.

Official notes from the brand describe a nose of “red apple and ripe melon,” leading to a palate of “macerated fruits, marzipan and walnuts.” The finish is said to be “long, warm, and dry.”
The Glengoyne 21-Year-Old Sherry Oak, which has remained available in the U.S., now features the same refreshed packaging design.
This expression is matured 100% in sherry oak and is also bottled at 43% ABV, with a suggested price of $239.99.
According to official notes from the brand, the 21-year-old has a nose of “red apples, spicy strudel, toffee, sherry, and dried fruits.” The palate offers “lots of Sherry, honey, and oak,” with a “long, sherry, spicy, warm, and dry” finish.
The updated packaging for both expressions continues the brand’s focus on sustainability.
Each fully recyclable box opens to reveal photographs of Dumgoyne Hill, taken by local photographer Richard Fox.
The bottles are now crafted from 49% recycled glass. This supports Glengoyne’s wider environmental practices, which include treating spent water in on-site wetlands and maintaining beehives.
“The 18-Year-Old and 21-Year-Old Sherry Oak stand as true classics of Glengoyne – embodying the rich depth and unmistakable character that have defined us for nearly two centuries,” said Gordon Dundas, Brand Advocacy Director.
“Our new packaging shines a light on our proud Highland roots and commitment to sustainability,” Dundas continued.
He added: “This gives whisky lovers everywhere a fresh look for Glengoyne, but offering these superb iconic whiskies as we have in the past, whether they’re lifelong admirers or discovering its timeless brilliance for the first time.”
Glengoyne, part of the Ian Macleod Distillers portfolio, is known for its unpeated character, which results from its signature slow distillation process.
Both the Glengoyne 18-Year-Old and the newly packaged 21-Year-Old Sherry Oak are available in the U.S. through Total Wine & More and other specialist whisky retailers. More information can be found at www.glengoyne.com.
