Ghostwood Whiskey has launched Ghostwood 3 Brothers Bourbon, a six-year-old, three-grain, high-rye bourbon priced at $49 (£37) per 750ml bottle. The Montana-based brand’s new expression is available online with shipping to eligible states and arrives at select Texas retailers from October 2026.

The release marks the fourth whiskey in Ghostwood’s core portfolio and is positioned as an entry point to the brand.

Ghostwood founder Lucas Perks said the bourbon was inspired by memories of time spent outdoors with his two brothers.

“Some of my favorite memories with my brothers are the simple ones: getting away into the woods, sitting around a fire, telling ghost stories, and enjoying being together among the trees,” said Perks, Ghostwood Whiskey founder.

He added: “That is the spirit behind 3 Brothers Bourbon. We wanted to make an unpretentious, authentic, and approachable American bourbon meant to be opened, shared, and enjoyed with the people who matter to you.”

Distilled in Indiana, the bourbon uses a three-grain mash bill of 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley.

It is aged six years in new American oak with a No. 4 char and bottled at 80 proof by Ghostwood Distilling Co. in Columbia, Illinois.

The release coincides with all three brothers joining the family business.

According to the brand, 3 Brothers Bourbon represents a return to Ghostwood’s roots, highlighting three of the original four grains behind its flagship whiskey. Wheat, the fourth grain, was later added to create the brand’s first signature expression.

Perks, who serves as master blender, selected a higher rye mash bill to add spice and character.

The official notes from the brand describe the bourbon as dark amber in color, opening with aromas of caramel, creamy vanilla, cocoa, chocolate, and roasted nuts. The palate is led by caramel and vanilla, with hints of cocoa, dark chocolate, and subtle smoke, before a warm, dry, and smooth finish.

The expression is presented in a clear bottle, distinguishing it from Ghostwood’s signature black-glass range.

“3 Brothers Bourbon gives us an opportunity to introduce Ghostwood Whiskey to more whiskey drinkers while staying true to what the brand is about: family, craftsmanship, adventure, and whiskey worth sharing,” said Lachlan Perks.

The bourbon joins Ghostwood Original Blended Bourbon, Barrel Proof Black, and Chardonnay Cask in the core range. Ghostwood’s Original Blended Bourbon won Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in both 2023 and 2024.
