Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery is celebrating the conclusion of a milestone year that marked the 25th anniversary of its Visitor Centre, the launch of an expanded tour, and a commendation at the Icons of Whisky Awards. The Perthshire-based distillery, owned by Bacardi, welcomed more than 25,000 visitors from 68 countries throughout 2025.
The distillery poured 59,386 drams of whisky over the year, which is equivalent to one serving every ten minutes.
Its visitor experience was recognized with a “Highly Commended” award for Visitor Attraction of the Year at the 2026 Icons of Whisky Awards, which are presented by Whisky Magazine.
Jonathan Wilson, Brand Home Manager at Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery, said: “It has been a special year celebrating the 25th anniversary of our Visitor Centre, the home of our tour and tasting experiences but also our dedicated onsite archive museum, an ever evolving collection spanning the rich history of Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery, since 1896.”
In April, the distillery introduced the Whisky Explorer Experience, a new tour designed for visitors seeking deeper insight into its portfolio.
The experience features a guided tasting of aged expressions and limited-edition releases led by expert guides.
The Aberfeldy single malt is a key component of the Dewar’s Blended Scotch Whisky range. The distillery’s continued investment in its visitor experience aligns with the broader growth of Scotch whisky tourism, which has become a significant contributor to Scotland’s economy.
“Welcoming international visitors from almost 70 countries and being recognised by the 2026 Icons of Whisky Awards is testament to our commitment to providing the best of Highland hospitality with immersive whisky experiences that capture the craft, people and processes behind every bottle of DEWAR’S blends and single malts,” Wilson added.
Alongside the new tour, the distillery’s bar also expanded its menu to include a broader selection of cocktails and takeaway bottled serves.
New offerings include the Peach Highball, Boulevardier, Rob Roy, and an Old Fashioned made with Dewar’s Double Double Aged 21 Years.
Looking ahead, Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery will host an Evening of Burns Entertainment on January 23, 2026. The event will feature live music, poetry, dancing, and traditional food. Tickets are priced at £20 and can be purchased here.
“We’re looking forward to another successful year in 2026, welcoming guests from all corners of the globe to our corner of Highland Perthshire,” Wilson concluded.
