SCOTCH at The Balmoral has unveiled a new experience allowing guests to hand-fill, sign and take home a bottle of the oldest single malt ever released by Deanston. The experience launches this August and is available solely at the Edinburgh whisky bar.

The 21-year-old liquid is a full-bodied Highland single malt matured in Palo Cortado sherry casks.

It was selected by SCOTCH Manager Ross Barr and his team of Whisky Ambassadors. The expression is not available anywhere else.
With enough liquid for just 80 bottles, the release offers a limited opportunity for collectors and whisky lovers.
Guests can enjoy the whisky by the dram for $40 (£30) per 25ml serve.

Alternatively, they can purchase and personalize their own bottle to take away for $335 (£250).
As part of the experience, guests are invited to sign their bottle. This creates a keepsake celebrating one of Deanston’s most notable releases.

The bottling further strengthens SCOTCH’s reputation as a destination for rare and collectible whiskies.
Deanston distillery sits in the village of Doune, Stirlingshire, and is owned by Distell International. The site was converted from a former cotton mill in 1965 and produces unchill-filtered single malts.
The Balmoral is a five-star hotel located on Edinburgh’s Princes Street. It forms part of the Rocco Forte Hotels group.
SCOTCH, the hotel’s whisky bar, holds a collection of rare and collectible bottlings and employs a team of Whisky Ambassadors to guide guests.
