Spirits retailer, Master of Malt has teamed up with Drinks By The Dram to launch World Dram Day, to be celebrated annually on the last Thursday in April. The inaugural World Dram Day will be celebrated on April 25th, 2024.

With the global recognition of whisky as a luxury asset increasing, it is becoming more and more expensive to buy old and rare whiskies on a budget, especially for drinkers. World Dram Day aims to encourage whisky connoisseurs and beginners to seek out drams of rare whiskies to sample.

Small drams can be bought at a fraction of the price of full bottles, meaning that whisky drinkers have the opportunity to try otherwise out-of-reach whiskies.

Sam Simmons of Master of Malt (recently named ‘Blender of the Year’) A.K.A Dr. whisky, commented:

“We’re thrilled to launch the very first World Dram Day which will be a celebration of the world’s finest spirit producers and an opportunity for drinkers to sample, explore and unearth exciting new spirits that they may have never tried before. There are so many incredible spirits producers in the UK and around the world and our aim is to help as many people to discover them and enjoy their craft”.

“With a record number of new distillery openings, a high level of creativity and innovation within drinks production, and at-home cocktail and drinks creation going toe to toe with leading bartenders, the future is looking bright for spirits lovers.”
