Timorous Beastie 40 Years OldWe’ve reported on

Douglas Laing’s Timorous Beastie is a marriage of Single Malts from The Highlands – including, amongst others, those distilled at Glen Garioch, Dalmore and Glengoyne distilleries.

Not a bad mix if we do say so ourselves. This whisky is bottled at a natural cask strength of 54.7% ABV and is both of natural color and non-chill filtered. It will be available globally and is pricing around £200, or about $265 USD.

“After 40 long years of maturation,” said Cara Laing, Director of Whisky at Douglas Laing, in a prepared statement, “we truly believe that this refined, complex dram is a masterpiece of exceptional quality – a super-charged edition of our much-loved Timorous Beastie!”

Official limited tasting notes for the Timorous Beastie 40 Years Old are below from Douglas Laing.

Our Timorous Beastie 40 Years Old opens aromatically on the nose with a profusion of sweet spices, cereals and honeycomb. The palate is as sweet as anticipated with crunched sugar, a mature Malt style and more spices. The finish is elegant, fructiferous yet understated with a honeyed Highlander heritage.
