Hi. My name is Jeff Bernheisel and I’m an ice snob.

Well, maybe that’s a bit of a stretch… but I simply love when I get a giant, crystal clear cube in my cocktail or whiskey on the rocks. I mean, it makes the drink so much sexier looking. AND, it actually has real benefits: it melts more slowly, which means it doesn’t affect the flavor of the pour.

In my quest for perfect ice, I’ve hand-carved dozens upon dozens of ice chunks into various shapes and sizes when serving drinks at home. Of course, I’ve cut myself multiple times in doing so, both with the knife and by slicing myself with a sharp edge of ice. It’s somewhat dangerous, takes a lot of time and effort, and honestly… it’s just not really worth doing for every single cocktail or pour of whiskey I’m going to have while entertaining or trying to relax at home.

But man, it’s sexy, and takes your cocktail game to a whole new level.

So, I have to admit, I got a little excited the other day when a friend tagged me on Facebook on an advertisement for a new product claiming to make cubes of “ice so clear, it disappears”.

What was this mythical device making such claims? Well, it’s a new product called TrueCubes. Watch the video below to find out if it lives up to their claim, and my high standards of ice snobbery.

Not bad eh? So, if you’re looking for a quick and easy way to take your cocktail game to the next level, give TrueCubes a try. You won’t be disappointed.
