Rabbit Hole Distillery Joins Kentucky Distillers’ Association

Early 2018 finds the already 30+ distillery members Kentucky trade group known as the Kentucky Distillers’ Association (KDA) adding yet another bourbon maker to their ranks. With the addition of Rabbit Hole Distillery, the KDA is continuing to reflect the growth of the industry as a whole in its home state.
Rabbit Hole Distillery is now the 36th member of the KDA. Founded in 2014 by CEO Kaveh Zamanian, its campus spans an entire block between Jefferson and Market streets in the NULU district of Louisville and will include an on-site restaurant, bar and public event space when it officially opens in spring. It is currently known for a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, Kentucky straight rye, a finished bourbon in PX sherry casks and a recently released London dry gin that is finished in their rye whiskey barrels.

Once open, it is said, the company will be the 11th distillery in this city, with five part of the KDA’s Kentucky Bourbon Trail experience. Two more distilleries and visitor centers are slated to open in 2018. Rabbit Hole is also now eligible to join the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour and is the KDA’s 26th Craft-level member, aging less than 10,000 barrels a year.

“It’s a thrill to be a part of Kentucky’s signature industry,” Zamanian said in a prepared statement. “On behalf of everyone at Rabbit Hole, thank you to the KDA for welcoming us to the major league of Bourbon.”
