Tasting Notes

About:

114.1 proof (57.05% ABV), 750 ml bottle MSRP $149.99.
Appearance:
Chestnut/oloroso sherry.
Nose:
On the nose are warm baking spices followed by notes of caramel, mature toasted oak, green bell pepper, malted barley, and spicy honey–reminiscent of what Red Hot candies dipped in honey might taste like.

Comments:
This expression offers a rich and robust blended whiskey experience with a highly complex flavor profile and a superbly executed balance of flavors. The smooth and slightly crisp texture generously lingers in a long finish that delivers a deliciously slow burn on the palate. Definitely not a weekday night sipper. This one deserves to be savored on a weekend night or special occasion, shared with only your closest fellow whiskey enthusiasts.

Editor’s Note: This whiskey was either bought as a sample by The Whiskey Wash or provided to us as a review sample by the party behind it. Per our editorial policies, this in no way influenced the outcome of this review.
