in an unpleasant manner. With this tasting, I was surprised at how well-balanced the whiskey is with the tequila barrel aging, there was the perfect amount of recognizable añejo notes without being overwhelmed. Comments:
Maybe it helps that I love a good tequila, but I found this whiskey quite satisfying. As mentioned above, other tequila-barrel finishes I’ve tried have been overly sweet, but the Jack Daniel’s Distillery Series No. 11 balances the classic Tennessee whiskey recipe well with the añejo, showing a skilled hand from Master Distiller Fletcher and Taster Danny Lamb.
