Wyoming Whiskey Honors Senator With New Release Integrity

A new whiskey release honors U.S. Senator Alan K. Simpson and his passion and dedication as a true representative of the state of Wyoming.

Based in the tiny town of Kirby, Wyoming, they call this the whiskey of the West. A statement from distiller Wyoming Whiskey noted that the makers set out to make a great American whiskey, using non-gmo corn, winter wheat, winter rye, barley, and water from the Bighorn Basin, promoting Wyoming’s natural and human resources.

They created the new, limited release Integrity, in honor of Sen. Simpson.

The whiskey itself is aged 7 years, which is a departure from their usual 5 years, and features a mash bill of 68% corn, 20% wheat, and 12% malted barley.

The distiller notes show that on the nose, Integrity features aromas of toffee pudding, buttercream icing, peach preserves and chocolate-covered cherries. On the palate, it tastes of Black Forest cake, berries, caramelized sugar and allspice. It finishes nutty with hints of baking spices.

The whiskey clocks in at 97 proof, and the limited edition will only be available in the state of Wyoming, when released.
