Oak & Eden recently announced that six of their whiskeys have been certified kosher.
A statement from the whiskey maker noted that this level of certification for permanent finished and infused whiskeys is new in the spirits industry, as many kosher-certified whiskeys are single barrel offerings.
Oak & Eden’s certification was granted by the Orthodox Union, one of the world’s largest kosher certification agencies.
Oak & Eden’s statement went on to explain that the stamp of kosher approval by a rabbinic agency involved an extensive review of the distillery’s ingredients, production processes, and facilities.
The Orthodox Union’s standards ensure that the production of Oak & Eden’s whiskeys adheres to the strict dietary laws of Judaism.
“This certification is a testament to our commitment to providing high-quality products that meet the needs of our diverse customers,” said Joe Giildenzopf, co-founder of Sanctified Spirits (Oak & Eden’s parent company).
Oak & Eden’s lineup of kosher whiskeys includes Bourbon & Spire, Rye & Spire, 4 Grain & Spire and Wheat & Spire from its Finished Series, with a suggested price of $49.99. And Wheat & Honey and 4-Grain & Maple from its Infused Series, with a suggested price of $59.99.
New labels with the OU-kosher logo for all Oak & Eden kosher-certified whiskeys can be found at retailers now through August.
