That Boutique-y Whisky Company, an independent bottler, is launching a brand new cocktail competition for mixologists of any level. Whether you are a professional, a bartender, an influencer, or an amateur, anyone with a passion for cocktails can enter (UK residents 18+ only).
The ‘Boutique-y vs. The World’ competition offers the winner the chance to bottle their own whisky. With the guidance and expertise of Head of Whisky Sam Simmons, the winner will aid in the label design and receive the first bottling of the whisky. The remaining bottles will be sold via online retailer Master of Malt, giving the winner “ultimate bragging rights.”
How Will The Boutique-y vs. The World Cocktail Competition Work?
Each entrant to the competition will be given That Boutique-y Whisky Company’s Canadian Corn Whisky to use as a base for their cocktail. Entrants can then use four additional ingredients to craft the perfect cocktail. The company asks entrants to “work with us here, MOOSE has five letters – so to create an even playing field, you get 5 ingredients”, paying tribute to the moose on the label of the Canadian Corn Whisky.
Judges will score each cocktail on drinkability, creativity, and garnish, as well as the name and story behind the cocktail. According to the press release, “No additional points for Canadian fancy dress but you’ll be forever a legend in the eyes of the team at That Boutique-y Whisky Company.”

Shortlisted entrants will then be invited to live heats in Edinburgh, Birmingham, and London between 17th-19th June. At these heats, “expect celebrations, drinking some tasty whisky and importantly, making new friends.”
The heat winners will then be invited to Manchester, or “the Canada of the British Isles” as That Boutique-y Whisky Company calls it, for the live finals on July 4th.
