First 2023 Larceny, Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbons Arrive

Heaven Hill, amongst its barrel proof offerings, debuts several times a year new variants of its Larceny Barrel Proof and Elijah Craig Barrel Proof expressions. The first 2023 releases recently were announced.

For Larceny Barrel Proof, the new Larceny Barrel Proof Bourbon A123, according to those behind it, is bottled at 125.8 proof. The line up it heralds from is regularly released “uncut Small Batch of Bourbon aged six to eight years Bourbon bottled straight from the barrel. Heaven Hill Distillery’s wheated Bourbon mash bill of 68% corn, 20% wheat, and 12% malted barley continues to shine in this release.”

Pricing at around $60 per 750 ml bottle, it will be followed later this year by releases in May and September.

Elijah Craig Barrel Proof, meanwhile, kicks off as Elijah Craig Barrel Proof A123. CLocking in at 125.6 proof, this 12 year old bourbon is described as “non-chill-filtered, and uncut to preserve the natural esters and taste components from the barrel to the bottle.”

With a mash bill of 78% corn, 12% malted barley and 10% rye, Elijah Craig Barrel Proof A123 is pricing around $70 per 750 ml bottle. It will be followed by further releases in May and September, marking the eleventh year for the brand’s Barrel Proof line.
