Wyoming’s Brush Creek Distillery recently unveiled its inaugural batch of Heroes Edition Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
The small-batch whiskey distillery can be found on a 30,000-acre working cattle ranch in the Wyoming wilderness, and this single barrel selection of straight bourbon whiskeys is intended to celebrate the everyday heroes of yesterday, today and tomorrow.
In a prepared statement from Brush Creek, distillery officials noted that the Heroes Edition is made up of a blend of crimson red, blue, and white corn bourbon distilled and matured in Indiana, which further aged at the distillery’s Saratoga, Wyoming location.
The Brush Creek Distillery opened in 2019, and they collaborate with their partners at The Farm at Brush Creek on sustainability, to promote innovation, and to produce spirits using certified organic greenhouse botanicals, mountain water, ranch-foraged ingredients.
Spent grains from the production of bourbon and rye are shared with local ranchers. At Brush Creek Ranch, Executive Pastry and Bakery Chef Keisha Sanderson uses the grains in the creation of “Spent Grain Bread.”
Empty barrel char is used in the cheese and ice cream making process at Medicine Bow Creamery.
The new Heroes Edition Bourbon is now available for purchase in liquor stores, restaurants, bars, and hotels across Wyoming, Texas, Colorado, Kentucky, and Indiana. The Brush Creek Distillery Experience is open for day-use guests and can be booked on OpenTable.
