Michigan’s Iron Fish Distillery recently celebrated their seventh anniversary by re-releasing the Mad Angler Bourbon, Rye and Bottled in Bond estate whiskeys.
And to boot, they completed a major upgrade that tripled the production capacity of its estate whiskey, which required more than a million dollars of investment in new equipment, as well as facility improvements.
Mad Angler Bourbon, Rye Whiskey, and Bottled in Bond Whiskey, according to the distillery, is distilled from grain grown on Iron Fish and Michigan farms.
The bourbon clocks in at 94 proof, and is available exclusively at the distillery. It features organic corn, winter wheat from Iron Fish Farm, Northern Michigan barley, and winter rye from Iron Fish Farm.
The rye clocks in from 92-94 proof, and is available at the distillery and select Michigan retailers. It contains rye from Iron Fish Farm and malted barley.
The Bottled-In-Bond is, of course, 100 proof and is available at the distillery and select Michigan retailers. It features Iron Fish Farm winter wheat, Upper Peninsula rye, Northern Michigan malted barley, and Northern Michigan corn.
Iron Fish, founded in 2015, grows and harvests grain on its farm, as well as purchases grain from Michigan farmers to distill spirits and age whiskey.
