High West, The Prisoner Wine Company Collaborate On Whiskey, Wine

High West, the well known distillery out of Utah, and The Prisoner Wine Company in California recently unveiled a partnership in which they did a mutual barrel swap to create a limited-edition wine and whiskey.

With regards to the whiskey, the new High West The Prisoner’s Share, according to those behind it, is a blend of the distillery’s straight bourbon and rye whiskeys aged between four and 15 years and finished in French Oak barrels used to age The Prisoner Red Blend, the brand’s flagship wine. It is said by the brand that “finishing this expression in The Prisoner red wine barrels enhanced complexity and allowed the distilling team to highlight their favorite elements of both bourbon and rye in a new setting.”

The Prisoner’s Share is available in limited quantities nationwide and at the High West General Store in Park City, Utah, pricing around $175 and bottled at 102 proof.
