Virginia’s Catoctin Creek Distilling Co. continues its partnership with iconic heavy metal band GWAR with the recent release of a new batch of Ragnarök Rye, Oderus Edition.
“With jubilation, we announce the Oderus Edition of Ragnarök Rye,” said GWAR guitarist, Pustulus Maximus. “Featuring art from the Scumdog himself, there is no more fitting beverage to consume before vanquishing your foes on the battlefield or at a small gathering, relishing in tales of conquest amongst your comrades.”

The whiskey maker called this special bottling of Ragnarök Rye a “bold and spicy tribute to Oderus’s larger-than-life personality and unapologetic irreverence.”
This Ragnarök expression features a special label of Oderus Urungus, drawn by Dave Brockie (Oderus himself), with a commemorative pewter bottle top featuring Oderus. The 100% rye whisky was aged in white oak, sugar maple, and cherrywood, along with a rum-finished barrel to boot. It clocks in at 46% ABV, 92 proof.
Two hundred cases of Ragnarök Rye: Oderus Edition are available throughout Catoctin Creek’s national distribution footprint. You can also find it on the distillery’s website for curbside pickup or direct shipping in Virginia only. And nationwide orders can be purchased at ReserveBar.com.
