Tasting Notes

About:

Limited to just 500 individually numbered bottles, this is part of their efforts in supporting local Dublin charities to give back in any way that they can.

A combination of single pot still and single malt whiskies, aged solely in ex-bourbon casks, it has all of the classic hallmarks of Teeling style.

They have welcomed over one million visitors from all over the world. This year their team has been recognised as World’s Best Visitor Attraction Team and World’s Best Marketing Team, which is a testament to the hard work and dedication put in by all team Teeling!

Continuing to build their legacy at Teeling Whiskey Distillery, they are proud to have distilled more than 6.1 million litres of whiskey, filling over 50,000 casks with Dublin Distilled spirit
Appearance:
Sauternes Wine
Nose:
Fresh honey, malted barley, sugary cereals, crème patisserie, butter cream, Madeira cake, custard cream biscuits, lemon zest, lemon muffins, elderflower cordial, a slight yeasty quality that reminds me of beer mash.

But it’s fresh, bright and vert welcoming.
Palate:
Lemon oil, freshly baked bread, lime juice, freshly cut wheat and barley, vanilla custard and these bouncy, light, fresh flavours that remind of what makes Teeling great. It’s tasty, fresh, easy drinking but has layers of flavour to it.
Finish:
More fresh bread notes, think about sourdough and fresh yeasts. Burnt sugars, a little tang of green herbs to it, and them some soft salty notes that provide a great contrast to the general sweet notes that Teeling always provides.
Comments:
A tasty, good value pour that celebrates all of Teeling’s well deserved achievements.
