Appearance:
Dark copper with medium legs
Nose:
Tobacco leaf, charcoal, wheat bread, brown sugar. Overall it’s a soft and approachable nose with a nice bourbon profile.
Palate:
Waxy mouthfeel, with toast, cloves, black pepper, oak barrel and burned cigar.
Finish:
Quick finish with charcoal on the back-end, alcohol-iodine at the very apex of the finish.
Comments:
This is a good bottle for the price and I can easily see this whiskey being a perfect pairing for a nice round of golf. It is a little young overall with just a bit too much oak and alcohol. However, I’m positive if you pull this out of your golf bag at the start of a round, you will not mind. It has a nice bite and lovely warming profile that make it perfect for a day on the course.
