Can a single grain whisky rival the complexity of single malt scotch? This Invergordon single cask bottling from Master of Malt delivers crème brûlée sweetness with intriguing depth.

Tasting Notes:

About:
Bottled by the team at Master of Malt, this single cask single grain scotch whisky was distilled at Invergordon Distillery in the Highlands and matured in a refill butt.
Appearance:
Gold
Nose:
Well-torched crème brûlée initially, followed by sweetshop vibes: foam bananas, mint humbugs and Drumstick lollies. Ripe apricot, candied lemon peel, angelica root, and wheat cereal biscuits.
Palate:
The fruit notes give way to sweetness — more of the lollies and crème brûlée from the nose along with fragrant toasted vanilla, French toast, black banana, and subtle cereal undertones.
Finish:
It leaves behind some toasty vanilla and confectionary-sweet peach notes.
Comments:
Even at this ABV, it shows quite a lot of character. Slight dilution brings some pleasant bready notes to the nose and ripe stone fruits to the palate.
