About:

Glenfiddich and Aston Martin Formula One Team have launched a limited-edition single malt scotch whisky to celebrate their enduring partnership. The collaboration brings together two brands known for precision engineering and traditional craftsmanship.

The new release hit shelves in September 2025 with a retail price of $75.00. The 16-year-old expression comes from a marriage of American oak wine casks, new American barrels, and second-fill bourbon casks. Bottled at 43% alcohol by volume, the whisky features official tasting notes of maple syrup and caramelized ginger on the nose, with fresh fruit salad and sweet cream on the palate.

“This release marks an exciting milestone in our journey with the Aston Martin Formula One Team,” said Claudia Falcone, Glenfiddich Global Brand Director. “Through this collaboration we invite enthusiasts worldwide to engage with these iconic brands in bold new ways and create memorable moments that reach far beyond the racetrack.”

Brian Kinsman, Glenfiddich Malt Master, described the whisky as combining craftsmanship and precision. He said that the Glenfidich 16 Year Old is “a whisky that invites exploration and discovery, much like the journey of our partnership with the Aston Martin Formula One Team. It’s a celebration of blending tradition with the thrill of innovation.”
Appearance:
Dark straw
Nose:
Salt, peat smoke, malted grain, classic Glenfiddich nose with just a little softer profile.
Palate:
Malty, salt brine, dry chocolate, lemon, and just a soft whisp of mint.
Finish:
Dry, with a medium finish, smooth with a watery mouthfeel.
Comments:
Iconic Glenfiddich profile, it’s pleasing and nice. It’s a well-priced 16-year Scotch, but overall, the depth of profile isn’t overly complex. The profile is approachable, enjoyable, and clean. I imagine this collaboration will only continue to grow and age as the multiyear partnership expands.
