Wyoming Whiskey, the first legal distillery in the state of Wyoming, has announced the nationwide release of National Parks No. 5 Straight Bourbon Whiskey: A Tribute to the Tetons alongside a new limited-edition 10-year-old bourbon called Moran. The Kirby, Wyoming-based distillery once again partnered with the Grand Teton National Park Foundation for the fifth installment in its ongoing National Parks Series, with proceeds supporting the foundation’s conservation efforts.

National Parks No. 5 is a five-year-old straight bourbon whiskey bottled at 96 proof (48% ABV) with a suggested retail price of $74.99. It is available at select retailers nationwide and for online purchase at wyomingwhiskey.com with complimentary shipping.

The bottle features a print of The Three Tetons, an 1895 oil painting by British-American artist Thomas Moran. The original painting is part of the White House art collection and has been displayed in the Oval Office across several presidencies.

David DeFazio, Wyoming Whiskey co-founder, said: “For those of you who’ve been following Wyoming Whiskey over the years, you’re aware of our ongoing commitment to the preservation of wide-open spaces. The cornerstone of our commitment is the support of our National Parks.”

DeFazio added: “Over the last four years, we have made donations to Yellowstone Forever, the Grand Teton National Park Foundation, and Friends of Acadia, the philanthropic partners of each Park. With National Parks No. 5, we feature Grand Teton with a historic image by Thomas Moran titled The Three Tetons. This straight bourbon whiskey is five years old, bottled at 96 proof, and I must say hitting all the right notes with the flavor profile.”

Previous releases in the National Parks Series have honored Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Acadia National Parks.

Official tasting notes from the brand describe National Parks No. 5 as offering baked honey crullers, cinnamon sugar, white icing, and hints of baked orange and almond on the nose. The palate delivers almond and cherry liqueur, honeyed sweetness, and a hint of vanilla whip. The finish features warming cinnamon spice, rich espresso, creamy milk chocolate, and a subtle hint of leather.

Moran, the new limited-edition expression, is a 10-year-old bourbon bottled at 110 proof (55% ABV) with a suggested retail price of $500. It will be available at select Wyoming retailers later this month, with broader national availability in-store and online beginning in spring 2026.

The expression honors both the artist Thomas Moran, whose landscape paintings helped inspire conservation efforts across the American West, and Mt. Moran, the 12,610-foot peak that towers over Jackson Lake in the northern Teton Range. Each bottle displays an image of Mt. Moran on its label.

Official tasting notes from the brand describe Moran as opening with soft waves of red fruits, creamy white chocolate, and a subtle mineral note on the nose. The palate offers vibrant baked citrus peel, rich blackberry jam, cinnamon apple, raisin, and chewy toffee. The finish is long and comforting, with oak spice and zesty citrus candy.

Donations generated through the National Parks Series have helped restore more than 10 miles of the Teton Crest Trail, enabled over 250 volunteers to contribute more than 17,000 hours toward resource stewardship and visitor education, and engaged more than 350 Indigenous youth in the park.

DeFazio commented: “Like most businesses in western Wyoming, we benefit greatly from the Parks and the economy that they create. And for me personally, the Parks enhance my life in countless ways. Our National Parks Series honors the Parks and generates funds that allow us to give back financially to them.”

He continued: “Our company was born in the shadow of these mountains. Literally. And the Mead family has a rich history woven into the creation of the Park. As a result, this release is personal to us. Obtaining a bottle of NP5 not only financially benefits Grand Teton National Park, but delivers a taste of Wyoming in every glass. I hope you like it.”

Wyoming Whiskey was founded in 2006 by Brad and Kate Mead together with DeFazio. The distillery crafts its bourbon from locally sourced non-GMO grains and water drawn from deep limestone aquifers. Its whiskey ages through five summers in the extreme climate of the Big Horn Basin, which the distillery credits with adding unique complexity to its flavor profiles.
