William Grant & Sons has introduced Glenfiddich XS, a new collection of three single malt Scotch whiskies aged for 15, 18, and 21 years. The range, developed by malt master Brian Kinsman, will debut in the Chinese market in November.
Malt master Brian Kinsman told The Spirits Business: “Glenfiddich XS is a whisky of gradual and powerful revelation, an exciting whisky that invites exploration and is designed to mark richer experiences.”
“The multi-layered, secondary maturation has created a subtle and sophisticated taste that unveils new depths to the liquid profile,” he continued.

The Glenfiddich XS 15 Years Old was matured in American and European oak casks before an oloroso sherry cask finish. Official notes from the brand include green apple, warm cinnamon, light spice, and gentle oak sweetness.
For the Glenfiddich XS 18 Years Old, Kinsman used American and European oak casks with a finish in rare moscatel sherry casks. The expression has a nose of caramelized fruit and treacle toffee, with a palate of Sherry richness and oak tannin.
Completing the lineup is the Glenfiddich XS 21 Years Old, described as the ‘pinnacle of the range’. It was aged in American oak and oloroso sherry casks and finished in rare pedro ximénez casks.
Its official tasting notes mention raw cane sugar and muscovado syrup on the nose, leading to a deep, full-bodied palate with woody spice and dried fruits.
All three whiskies are bottled at 42% ABV.
The Glenfiddich XS 15 has a recommended retail price of $74 (£58). The 18-year-old expression will retail for $118 (£88), while the 21-year-old is priced at $227 (£170).
