The range of whiskeys produced in the United States is huge, but among all of the bottles out there few are those that can be named without thought by practically any drinker at any bar at any time. One of these is Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, an American whiskey staple that’s produced by its namesake distillery in Kentucky.
Buffalo Trace is bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV) and aged for somewhere between 6 and 8 years.

From The Brand – Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is distilled, aged and bottled at the most award-winning distillery in the world. Made from the finest corn, rye and barley malt, this whiskey ages in new oak barrels for years in century old warehouses until the peak of maturity.

Official Tasting Notes – This deep amber whiskey has a complex aroma of vanilla, mint and molasses. Pleasantly sweet to the taste with notes of brown sugar and spice that give way to oak, toffee, dark fruit and anise. This whiskey finishes long and smooth with serious depth.

Our Thoughts On It – Buffalo Trace is an incredibly affordable whiskey. It offers a novel formula for bourbon, has some unconventional aspects and deserves all the praise and prizes it has received over the years. Some whiskey drinkers might crave a smokier and more intense flavor, but there is plenty to enjoy and admire about this bourbon.
