The Glenturret Lalique Restaurant has retained its two Michelin stars in the 2026 Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland, announced at a ceremony on Monday, February 9. The recognition celebrates the continued success of executive chef Mark Donald and his team at the fine dining venue located within Scotland’s oldest working distillery.

Donald, who has trained in some of the world’s most celebrated kitchens, brings a distinctive approach that combines Scotland’s exceptional produce with international influences.

“Retaining Two Michelin Stars reflects the passion, innovation, and care that shape everything we do at The Glenturret Lalique Restaurant,” said Mark Donald, executive chef. “It is a real privilege to work together with my team to continue our success, showcasing the very best of Scotland to our guests.”

The restaurant opened in 2021 as a pioneering concept that merged fine dining with whisky heritage. It received its first Michelin star just seven months after opening.

The venue was awarded its second star in February 2024, establishing it among Scotland’s culinary elite.

Located overlooking the River Turret within the ancient grounds of The Glenturret distillery, the restaurant benefits from Scotland’s exceptional larder. Donald and his team work closely with artisanal growers, producers, breeders and fishers.

The chef and his brigade also forage ingredients themselves from the surrounding landscape.

The menu showcases premium ingredients from throughout Scotland and the wider UK, with selected international elements where appropriate.

“I would also like to congratulate this year’s newly awarded and retained Michelin-starred restaurants,” added Donald.

Guests can extend their experience with an overnight stay at Aberturret House, The Glenturret’s onsite accommodation. The property is available Wednesday to Saturday or for exclusive use by arrangement.
