The Dalmore has officially opened the doors of its reimagined distillery on the shores of the Cromarty Firth in the Scottish Highlands. The single malt Scotch whisky brand is welcoming guests to what it describes not as a typical visitor center, but as a fully immersive expression of The Dalmore brand.

The redesigned brand home aims to immerse visitors in the distillery’s nearly two centuries of whisky-making heritage and its deep connection to place.

Each guest experience is entirely private and personally hosted throughout. Expert guides narrate the journey through the new production facilities, incorporating tactile and sensory moments along the way.

The tour follows the same path as The Dalmore’s whisky itself. Guests begin in the repurposed former kiln, learning about the distillery’s location and water source, before moving through the mash house and tun room to view the washbacks.

The stillhouse is a centerpiece of the redesign. Four sets of meticulously recreated stills are set against a floor-to-ceiling glass window overlooking the Cromarty Firth, creating what the brand calls “an awe-inspiring atmosphere, which can only truly be appreciated in person.”

An exploration of maturation follows, including stories of The Dalmore’s cask curation program, before a moment of reflection in the quiet of the warehouse.

The experience concludes with a guided tasting featuring whiskies from The Dalmore’s Principal Collection and its Distillery Exclusive range. Hosts tailor the tasting to suit individual tastes and preferences.

Every visit is unique, with guests liaising with The Dalmore’s concierge team in advance to personalize their experience.

The Dalmore is one of the Scottish Highlands’ most storied distilleries, known for its use of rare and aged sherry casks and its iconic 12-pointed stag emblem. The brand sits within the Whyte & Mackay portfolio, owned by Philippines-based Emperador Inc. In recent years, The Dalmore has positioned itself firmly in the luxury spirits segment, with rare releases regularly commanding five- and six-figure prices at auction.

Demand for the reopened distillery has been high. Bookings are currently open through April 2027 via The Dalmore’s website, with a reserve list also in operation.
