Still Austin Whiskey Co. has opened The Still Austin Quarter, a 15,000-square-foot live music, cocktail, and food destination at 4211 Willow Springs Road in South Austin, Texas. The venue, located in The Yard, spans four distinct spaces and will host its grand opening celebration on Thursday, 5 November.

The site welcomes approximately 500 guests across indoor and outdoor environments, including 125 outdoor seats.

The four spaces comprise the Atrium, the Vinyl Lounge, the Music Room, and a private event space. Each room was developed in collaboration with architect of record OPA Design Studio and interior design firm Weiss Architecture.

Each space captures a moment in the life of The Musician, the figure on the brand’s flagship bourbon label. The character first appeared in a painting by Marc Burckhardt, the artist behind Still Austin’s flagship labels.

“I could not be more excited to open The Still Austin Quarter,” said Chris Seals, co-founder and CEO of Still Austin. “It stands as a celebration of the artists who have made our city so special.”

The Vinyl Lounge houses a collection of more than 5,000 albums, described as one of Austin’s largest. It also features the Stratocaster Bar, designed in the style of a guitar with a sunburst face and a fretboard back bar.

The Music Room was engineered by acoustician Steven Durr, whose portfolio spans more than 2,000 recording and performance facilities. Its side walls are inspired by Buaas Garden, Austin’s first live music venue, which opened in 1860.

The grand opening will feature Austin musicians Shakey Graves, performing at 7:30pm in the Music Room, and Adrian Quesada, spinning a DJ set in the Vinyl Lounge from 7pm.

Cocktails anchor the food and beverage program, built on Still Austin spirits. Featured serves include the Bourbon Peach Tea, made with “The Musician” Straight Bourbon Whiskey, and the Queen Bee, made with “The Naturalist” American Gin.

The food menu was developed by Still Austin’s hospitality team, with highlights including Steak Frites and Smoked Pork Belly Bites.

Still Austin is open Wednesday through Sunday, with live performances slated for Friday and Saturday nights. Further information is available at stillaustin.com.
