Root Shoot Spirits has made its award-winning Colorado whiskey available online to ship directly to consumers across the US. The Loveland-based producer’s collection includes five expressions, led by a single malt recently named ‘Whisky of the Year’ at the 2026 London Spirits Competition.
The spirits are crafted with grain grown and malted on the Olander family’s fifth-generation farm in Loveland, Colorado. From field to bottle, all Root Shoot whiskey travels only about 30 miles, which the brand says represents a hyper-local and sustainable supply chain.
The range comprises the 4-Year Bottled-in-Bond American Single Malt Whiskey, Colorado Peach Brandy Cask Finished Whiskey, 6-Year Single Barrel American Single Malt, 6-Year Small Batch Bottled-in-Bond American Single Malt and a Heritage Grain Wheated Bourbon.

READ THE STORYThe flagship Root Shoot Whiskey, bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof), was named Spirit of the Year USA, Whisky of the Year and American Single Malt Whiskey of the Year at the London Spirits Competition.
Aged for four years in American white oak barrels, the official notes from the brand describe aromas of cobbler and honey granola, with clean alpine floral notes on the palate. It is priced at US$64.99 (£48).
The Colorado Peach Brandy Cask Finished Whiskey (49% ABV) is a limited-edition collaboration with Peach Street Distillers, finished in casks made from Colorado-grown Palisade peaches. Fewer than 120 bottles are available online at US$79.99 (£59).
Other releases include the 6-Year Single Barrel (61.5% ABV) at US$89.99 (£67), the 6-Year Small Batch Bottled-in-Bond (50% ABV) at US$84.99 (£63), and the Heritage Wheated Bourbon (47% ABV) at US$79.99 (£59), created in partnership with The Family Jones Distillery.
The 6-Year Small Batch marks Root Shoot’s first Bottled-in-Bond release at that age and celebrates 100 years of Olander Farms.
“Every sip, every nuance, is a reflection not only of Colorado agriculture, but of our family farm, recently designated a Centennial Farm,” said Todd Olander, Root Shoot’s founder and farmer. “It carries more than 100 years and five generations of hard work, care and commitment to quality, and we’re proud to share a piece of that history with whiskey lovers across the country.”
