French spirits group Rémy Cointreau has unveiled a sweeping transformation plan called RC Forward, aimed at regaining market momentum and maximizing brand potential. The plan, announced on April 8, 2026, is accompanied by a significant organizational restructure under CEO Franck Marilly.

"After three years marked by a complex environment, it is time for Rémy Cointreau to stand out within its industry," said Franck Marilly, chief executive officer of Rémy Cointreau.

"The Group has the privilege of relying on an exceptional portfolio of brands and on talented and committed teams. RC Forward Plan aims to give us the means to generate our own value creation momentum and thus become less dependent on macroeconomic cycles," Marilly added.

The plan centers on five strategic levers: strengthening distribution efficiency, enhancing revenue growth management, maximizing advertising and promotion investments, optimizing procurement, and simplifying organizational execution.

"Our ambition is clear: to sustainably improve profitability in order to generate additional resources to reinvest in growth," Marilly said.

As part of the restructure, Rémy Cointreau has established a new Steering Committee within the Executive Committee. Luca Marotta is appointed deputy CEO, overseeing finance, IT, and legal. Ian McLernon takes on the new role of group chief markets officer, including oversight of a newly created Emerging Markets area.

The group has also created a Prestige Division to oversee brands Louis XIII, Telmont, and Maison Psyché. Ludovic du Plessis will lead the division and joins the Executive Committee.

Amaury Vinclet is appointed general manager of Rémy Martin. Elisabeth Tona continues as CEO of the Liqueurs & Spirits division. Douglas Taylor remains CEO of the Whisky & Gin division and will also oversee a new Innovation Lab. Christophe de Pous was recently appointed CEO of North America.

Célia d’Everlange has been named chief transformation officer for the duration of the plan. Sophie Phe, who continues as CEO of China, will also lead a new Executive Lab focused on accelerating transformation initiatives.

Rémy Cointreau, which is listed on Euronext Paris and employs 1,856 people, holds a portfolio of 14 brands including Rémy Martin cognac, Louis XIII, and Cointreau liqueur. The company will share initial progress on the plan on June 4, alongside publication of its annual results, with medium-term objectives expected in November 2026.
