Pappy & Company has announced Kosair for Kids as the beneficiary of its first 2026 Bourbon for Good™ Sweepstakes, with both the sweepstakes and a new Bourbon for Good™ merchandise collection launching on March 13, 2026. The Louisville, Kentucky-based company continues to expand its philanthropic mission by converting demand for the Van Winkle family’s iconic bourbon into charitable support.
The Bourbon for Good Sweepstakes has served as the cornerstone of the company’s philanthropic efforts since its inception. Each sweepstakes offers a bottle of Van Winkle bourbon from the Van Winkle family’s private collection, with a portion of proceeds directed to nonprofit organizations.
Pappy & Company holds four sweepstakes per year, supporting organizations in the Louisville region and beyond. Past beneficiaries have included Dare to Care, The Headstrong Project, and Apron.

READ THE STORYThe company was founded by the great-granddaughters of legendary bourbon icon Pappy Van Winkle to celebrate and continue their family’s bourbon heritage.
“We’ve modeled our company on Pappy’s original promise, to put good bourbon above all else, including profit,” said Carrie Van Winkle Greener, one of the triplet sisters behind Pappy & Company. “We really saw Bourbon for Good as a necessary component of our mission and vision in expanding on Pappy’s dedication and honoring his legacy of hospitality and philanthropy.”
Pappy & Company, alongside Van Winkle Family Ventures, has established five pillars of philanthropic focus: Education and Mental Health Services, Environmental Sustainability as related to the bourbon industry, Disease Prevention, Veteran Support inspired by Julian Van Winkle II’s military service, and Family Led Causes.
“We saw this as a way to narrow our areas of support in order to enhance the impact of our resources,” Greener shared, “by working with non-profit organizations who are doing the critical work in our communities and beyond.”
The pillars are loosely based on Pappy Van Winkle’s original “5 Keys to Hospitality.”
New for 2026, the company is introducing a Bourbon for Good Merch Collection featuring clothing and home accessories. “It really is the natural evolution of our mission,” Greener explained, “in a way that is meaningful and honors our great-grandfather’s legacy.”
The collection, according to Greener, will “reflect the belief that everything is better when shared, especially fine bourbon,” and that “giving back connects us to something greater than ourselves.”
Kosair for Kids is a Louisville-based nonprofit dedicated to improving the health and well-being of children in the region. Pappy & Company continues to build on its Bourbon for Good™ initiative as a model for purpose-driven business in the spirits industry.
